Awards Extravaganza & 11 Questions

I have REALLY slacked off on acknowledging the awards that have been passed onto me (I know, I suck). But I'm going to make it better now! Are you ready? Here goes.

For the Thumbs Up Award, I'd like to thank:
Cassie Mae at Reading, Writing, & Lovin' It

For the Great Comments Award, I'd like to thank:
Tara at Tara Tyler Talks
Tasha Seegmiller
Leigh Covington
Jenny Morris at Jenny's Imaginary World
David Powers King

For the Versatile Blogger Award, I'd like to thank:
Mark Koopmans at Aloha, and Hi! from HI
Mark Noce at Marc Noce Stories
Kelley at Between the Bookends

For the Kreativ Blogger Award, I'd like to thank:
Theresa Paolo
Kelly at Between the Bookends
Deana Barnhart

For the Beautiful Blogger Award, I'd like to thank:
Jenna Cooper at Finding the Write Way

And for the One Lovely Blog Award, I'd like to thank:
Liz at Chandra Writes

And lastly, I was tagged by Kyra Lennon at Write Here, Write Now. Thanks, Kyra! Her questions and my answers follow.

1. If there was only one food you could eat for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Pizza. I never get tired of pizza.
2. What was your favorite TV show as a child?
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Turtle Power!
3. What movie do you dislike, that everyone else seems to love?
The Notebook. Ick. Gag me.
4. What was the first record/cassette/CD you ever bought?
No Doubt, Tragic Kingdom. Sing with me now:
"Don't speak, I know just what you're saying. So please stop explaining. Don't tell me cause it hurts..."
5. What would songs would be on the soundtrack of your life?
Don't worry, Be happy and Accidentally In Love
6. If you could excel at one thing, what would it be?
Writing  :D
7. If you could choose your own first name, what would you choose?
Emily. I love my name. It means "industrious" and I am that. Every time I meet a lazy Emily I grumble, "she's NOT an Emily." You have to be badass to earn my name. : )
8. Can you remember the first story you ever wrote? If so, what was it about?
I wrote about a Princess stuck in a castle. She was eaten by a dragon.
9. What is your favorite snack?
Pretzels
10. Do you have any pets, and what do you have?
I have one cat, but I'd like a dog, too.
11. Who or what inspires you?
My family, friends, nature, music, books, movies, pictures, and laughter.

I'm not passing on the awards, but I am tagging 11 people for the 11 Question Meme.
Sarah Pearson
Ladonna Watson
A.E. Martin
Jordan McMakin
Cortney Pearson
Cynthia Chapman Willis
Meredith at Fairy Tales and Cappuccino
Julie Musil
Jessie Humphries
J.L. Campbell
Jess at Write. Skate. Dream

If you choose to participate, your questions are:
1. What is your favorite movie?
2. What color crayon would you say you are?
3. Where would you live if you could live anywhere?
4. What color are your underwear?
5. Do you brush and floss your teeth daily?
6. When did you write your first story?
7. What is the last book you read?
8. Are you a plotter or pantser?
9. What is your favorite type of cookie?
10. Do you believe in true love?
11. What is your least favorite word?

Congrats on all the awards!

I applaud your musical tastes! Most people's first CD is usually horribly embarrassing! :D

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, huh? The tortoises would be pleased. :)

The whole movie thing - when I can't stand one that almost everyone else seems to love - drives me nuts. I'm always like, what am I missing?!

Look at you lovely lady. :) So many well deserved awards.

And I think we're virtually the same person. We should get together and eat pizza and listen to No Doubt. I'll let you pet my dog ;)

Look at these awards!!

Congrats and well-deserved! Clearly you've been anything but slacking off. I listened to Tragic Kingdom the other day which took me straight back to middle school. Good times.

Thanks for the tag! Excellent questions.

Hope all is well. Have a great weekend :)

Congratulations on your awards :)

I have NEVER watched the Notebook, or read the book. I've been tempted, but something always stopped me. I'm really curious now - will I love it, or will I hate it?

I know what you mean. The awards can get quite consuming. I have a list of blogs planned when an award comes in and then I have to reshuffle the line-up. But, that's fine. I always enjoy getting them. Plus, they stop me from foisting my regularly scheduled crap on an innocent public.

Fun questions, I'm not sure I'd never get tired of pizza but I could live on it for a long time, too. Just have to tell ya my first story was about a princess and a dragon, too. But it didn't eat her.

Kyra, I didn't have money to buy music until I was older. That probably saved me from having to share an embarrassing cassette.

Tara, thanks for the tag! I have my feet up as I type. : )

Madeline, I let my prejudice against Nicholas Sparks get in the way.

Susan, thanks!

Carrie, "I'm just a girl.." Are you singing?

Erin, I didn't like the book either. Does that help?

Carol, I like the question idea, too. It's nice to loosen up a bit and get down and bloggy. :)

Your answers rocked. No, really, soon as I read the lyrics I was envisioning No Doubt rocking on stage.

And I didn't know what your name meant. Now I do and will probably look for every Emily to be as industrious as you :-)

Emily, I'm so much like you right now, it's not funny. I have a few awards I have yet to acknowledge but have slacked-off with other things getting in the way...like, er, LIFE! I'll probably write up a whole post to thank everyone individually, but we'll see how it goes!

TMNT rock, yay!!! hehe

I did like the Notebook, except (and this probably makes me sound like a cold-hearted biatch, but...) the parts with the couple when they were older. :P I just wanted to get back to the happy parts.

I love that your Princess got eaten by a dragon ;) was that the end of the story or did it go on from there? hehe

You are definitely award-worthy. I think Emily is a timeless name. I like the parody of The Notebook they show in the movie theaters to keep you from using your cell.

Trisha, that was the end of the story. The prince was too late to save her. : )
