| My 2011 Tulips |
Hi, peeps! Here's what's new:
- I signed up for LDS Storymakers Conference. YAY! If you're going, look for a huge pregnant lady. It'll be me.
- Chantele Sedgwick has signed a two book deal! Check out the details here.
- My husband and I would like to move closer to his new job, but the housing market sucketh. Stay tuned for a miracle.
- Reading on my Kindle Fire is fantastic. I thought "flipping" virtual pages would be weird, but it isn't. However, I do miss the black smudges on my hands from blitzing a book in one day. The ink spots were a badge of honor.
- My tulips are coming up! They're at least 6 weeks away from blossoming, but the sight of them is a reminder that warmer weather is on the horizon. I'm sooo ready for spring.
What's new with you? Are you making the most of your extra day this leap year?

I was so excited to hear Chantele's news - very awesome!
I hope that miracle finds you! <3
Good luck on the house hunting. You never know!
Pretty tulips. I'm just waiting for my daffodils to show :-)
I love conferences. The good ones always make me want to go home and write. Stay hydrated super pregnant lady.
Awesome news!
Aw, I didn't know you were having a baby! Congrats!
I wish the weather here in CT would make up its mind. Some days it's like spring, and I'm dying for those spring flowers, and then out of the blue, it snows!
I have no problem flipping pages on my iPad!
The kindle thingy isn't so bad and the cost for books is great.
House hunting too, but for my job, not my partner's.
Awesome news all around! Have fun at the conference! And I love my Kindle Fire. It's so much easier to read books on it. :)
I love reading on my iPad. Flipping virtual pages is fun.
I love writing conferences - I'm going to one in Sept. Have fun at yours!
Those tulips are lovely. We recently bought some new plants/flowers - the hibiscus are gorgeous! - hopefully, they will live and grow despite me tending them. :)
Congrats on being hugely preggers!
I love the e readers too, but still keep a good stock of books. An e reader in the bathtub could electrocute me.
I'm so jealous you're going to Storymakers! You have to come see me while you are here anyway. :)
And good luck on the house hunting. I'll be doing a voodoo ritual and chant for you. I'll send it via email. :)
Yay for tulips! They're my favorite flower. :) Have fun at Storymakers! And good luck with the housing miracle!
I'm such a conference junkie ;) Love them. Annnnnd my condolences with the pregnancy (lol) ... It's so stinkin' hard!!!!
Awesome! It's going to be so much freaking fun. I can't wait. I even got my sister to go. We need to all get together and have a party. I will be the one with the big-arse camera because I'm the conference photographer. I can't wait to meet you in real person.
Oh that sounds like fun with the conference.
I will be at Storymakers, but from the sounds of it, the pregnant ladies will be in abundance, so you won't be alone. I will be the tall not pregnant one - can't wait to meet you.
I'm so glad you're going to storymakers! I'll have a big preggy tummy with you (okay, not as big as yours, but I'll still be pulmp)Good luck with the housing market, I don't dare sell right now!
Lovely tulip.
We are house shopping also to be closer to the hubby's job, and yes the market aint so great. It seems that if you don't want a short sale, you're out of luck. You may as well cross most of the homes off your list.
Awesome! I'll see you at Storymakers. And how about Chantele's deal, huh? Such amazing and exciting news! :)
I hope the move works out for you, fingers crossed. I've been loving my Kindle, too. Have a good time at the Storymakers Conference. And your tulips are lovely, I can't wait for spring!
I'm thinking about going to that conference. I guess I better make a decision soon. Good luck house hunting. We're thinking about moving as well.
Good luck with your potential move. We moved not long ago, so I know how the housing market can be.
I keep hearing great things about the Kindle Fire, so I might have to drop a hint to family that I want one next Christmas.
You'll get a miracle, I just know it :)
Kyra, I hope it does, too!
Nancy, will do!
Gina, it's trying to snow here today. I hope my tulips survive it.
Peaches, good luck with your house hunt!
Madeline, have fun at your writer's conference, too!
Erin, if you're going to have the camera, then you may not see me. I don't want pictures taken of my four chins. : )
David, I look forward to meeting you!
I noticed the tips of tulips breaking through yesterday as well :) Today, it's snowing like crazy! So much for that spring feeling :(
Wishing you luck with your miracle :)
Yay for writer conferences! Hope you have a great time (tho pregnant, LOL). And WHOA!--I hadn't seen the news about Chantele. Very cool. I will check out your linky. Haha, the "housing market sucketh." Well, miracles CAN happen!
My mom has a Fire too, and loves it. She hardly uses her regular Kindle anymore (yeaaaah, she has BOTH). Wow, tulips already? Hard to believe, especially with all the rain coming down today here in Oregon. :D
Glad you hear you like your kindle fire. Tulips are my favorite, can't wait for spring!
1) Have fun at your conference!
2) Squeee for Chantele!
3) Praying for your miracle.
4) Maybe you should keep a newspaper on hand as an ink-rubbing substitute. ;)
5) Hooray for spring!
Have fun at the conference...do not give birth there :)
Wisteria is blooming around here.
Your housing will work itself out - have faith.
Thank you so much for the shout out! Can't wait to meet you at Storymakers! :D
almost all great news!
house will come when you need it =)
I would like the opposite - for my husband to have a job closer to our house. I'm waiting for that miracle as well. :)
Happy Leap Year to all! I think it should be a holiday, and I should go home from work right now :)
Yay, for Chantele!
Yay, for you and Storymakers! (See you there).
Yay, for Spring and tulips!
So many great things in this post. :)
I love my Kindle and iPad. I get so much more reading done with them.
I hope you have a great time at the conference.
And I do hope the housing market gets better.
I don't mind the virtual page turn either. Happy you are going to LDStorymakers. Wish I'd been able to go.
Very excited for you (and a bit jealous) that you'll be going to the Conference! Too bad I can't attend as well, we could be the two, hugely pregnant ladies there.
And I was honestly surprised by how easy the transition was to digital reading!
Jennifer, me too!
Carrie, you're such a sweetie. : )
Carol, I'll try not to.
Tara, thanks!
Caitlin, I wish you could come, too!
I have a boring old regular kindle. Sigh.
SO sad I won't make Storymakers. Sigh.
And I'm ECSTATIC for Chantele.
I'm SOOO ready for spring, but it doesn't come here until the end of April. Meaning - I will have SNOW until the end of April...
oh wow, your tulips look gorgeous.
Yay for the conference.
Sending out positive thoughts for your miracle so that you may be blessed.
Going to check out Chantele's great news!
Pretty tulips!
All the best with house hunting. Come over, house market here is good! But then job market is hard!
Congrats to Chantele!
Hey Emily:) Great update post. And FYI , I ADORE my Kindle Fire. I think I have a borderline addiction to it LOL
I don't know how far you are away from hubby's job, my hubby commutes an hour each way. Not so fun but doable. Ne's been doing it six+ years and has gone through a good many audio books in the process.
Sounds like you've been busy! Congrats to Chantele.
I thought the page-flipping thing would be weird, too, but now I love it.
I so agree about the Kindle, I thought the same about the page turning, but I love it. I can't wait for all the flowers to return, your tulips are gorgeous. And best of luck with the house hunting!
I'm not familiar with Chantele, have to check out her blog now and say congrats! :)
I am thrilled I get to see you in all your prego glory at the conference!!!! Yay!!
And how cool for Chantele! I will be heading to her blog next:)
You aren't the only one who can't wait for spring! Bring it on:)
Tulips are my very favorite flowers.
I really want to go to Storymakers, but I just don't think it's going to happen this year. Again. Boo.
WAHOOOOO!!!! I am so excited you're going to be at Storymakers!!! That is so fabulous! Can't wait to see you. Don't be surprised if I rub your belly. I'll not too! :)
And don't get me started on the housing market. *shakes head* It's terrible.
Spring. Spring. Spring. If I keep chanting it, will it come sooner?
Excited for storymakers! We shall meet. I bet you make an adorable pregnant person.
I believe in miracles. :)
Just ran over to congratulate Chantele--I hadn't heard the news!
Good luck with the house hunting.
Cool, let us know how that conference works out:)
My azaleas have been blooming since January. It's been a warm dry winter.
and I'm sooooo ready for winter! hehe. Yep, i've been called weird.
That was awesome news about Chantele - I love the name of her publisher too :)
oh I love Tulips!!!
Hope you find that miracle. x
Hugely pregnant? Congrats and I wish you a speedy delivery (having done this three times, that's what I always wish pregnant people). My crocuses are up and bloomed as well as dwarf irises. The robins are having a worm frenzy fest in my yard. Totally ready for spring too!
A2ZMommy and What’s In Between
Lindsay, I feel the same way. I take mine with me everywhere.
Leigh, I look forward to meeting you!
Mark, I will!
Richard, I guess so. Ours has been cold and wet. Very typical for where I live.
Trisha, I felt that way about winter... three months ago. :)
Tracy, it's wonderful when the beginning signs of spring arrive. The sight is so refreshing!
Yay for Chantele. I ADORE tulips. I keep trying to plant them. Last year I think I put the bulbs upside down. Don't know what went wrong this year.
